Thalana Batu

Our Organic Thalana Batu (Thai Eggplant) bunch features fresh, pesticide-free small eggplants that are a staple in traditional Sri Lankan healing diets. Recognized for their firm texture and mildly bitter skin, these green-and-white striped fruits are powerhouses of dietary fiber, potassium, and phytonutrients. In Ayurveda, Thalana Batu is celebrated for its ability to purify the blood, cool the body, and improve liver function. When prepared as a traditional curry or a spicy Thempahraduwa, these fruits serve as a natural tonic to boost digestion and overall metabolic health.
